$1.58 B highway PPP awarded next month

ProInversión will award a $1.58 billion, 25-year PPP concession next month for Section 4 of the Longitudinal de la Sierra highway. The 965 km route links Junín, Huancavelica, Ayacucho, Apurímac, and Ica. It includes a 5.2 km bypass, 179 km of rehabilitation, and 780 km of periodic maintenance. All key approvals are in place. The project will improve rural connectivity for 1.6 million people, cut travel times, and support access to markets and services. It uses a design–build–finance–operate–maintain model, ensuring long-term road quality and rapid emergency response capacity.
