On June 24 and 25, 2025, the Argentine-headquartered company Milicic showcased its growing presence in Peru by participating in MINPRO 2025, the country’s most important mining suppliers’ convention held in Lima. This was the first time Milicic had a dedicated stand focused exclusively on mining, reflecting its strategic decision to expand from civil infrastructure into specialized services for the mining and energy sectors. The event brought together hundreds of companies and sector leaders in logistics, maintenance, and processing, providing Milicic a platform to highlight its capabilities and network with potential partners across the entire mining value chain.
Milicic has been operating in Peru for over four years, primarily executing major infrastructure projects such as river defense systems, flood-control works, and civil engineering initiatives linked to the country’s reconstruction programs. During the conference, the company emphasized that these experiences have given it a strong foundation in large-scale project management, compliance with demanding technical standards, and community engagement—skills it now plans to leverage to secure contracts in mining operations. Company representatives also underscored that Peru’s prominence as a global producer of copper, silver, and other critical minerals makes it a priority market for Milicic’s regional growth strategy.
At MINPRO, Milicic presented case studies of completed works, including flood mitigation along the Río Zaña and interventions in the Cabuyal ravine—examples meant to demonstrate its technical expertise and reliability. According to the company’s leadership, these projects are just the starting point for a broader plan to evolve from being a recognized civil-construction contractor into a long-term partner for mining development. This move aligns with Peru’s push to modernize its supply chain and attract companies that can contribute not only technical capacity but also a commitment to environmental and social standards in critical mineral production.
